Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Siemens Teamcenter PLM Data Migration Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of critical data within Teamcenter systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong database management skills, an in-depth understanding of Siemens Teamcenter core modules, and a desire to work on large long-term projects.

Primary Functions:
- Leadership role in defining, building, and launching the Siemens Teamcenter ETL practice.
- Assisting in building the Siemens Teamcenter team and bench.
- Training other employees on the Siemens Teamcenter application stack.
Essential Functions:
- Data Extraction: Extract complex datasets from Teamcenter, ensuring accuracy and completeness of product lifecycle data.
- Data Migration: Lead the end-to-end process of migrating data from legacy Teamcenter systems or other enterprise systems to new Teamcenter environments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Data Loading: Design, develop, and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to facilitate the secure, efficient migration and integration of data.
- Data Mapping & Transformation: Map data between source systems and Teamcenter, converting it into the appropriate format while maintaining consistency and integrity.
- Data Quality Assurance: Validate and cleanse data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity, using reliable, repeatable tools and processes.
- Database Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve database performance issues during the extraction and migration process, ensuring efficient data movement.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation for data extraction processes, migration methodologies, and system configurations. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot any data-related issues, including errors or discrepancies that arise during migration, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team, business analysts, and project managers to ensure that migration goals align with the overall business strategy and technical requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Teamcenter, particularly with database extraction, migration, and integration processes.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Teamcenter architecture, database models, and data management processes.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with data extraction and migration tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Shell scripting).
- Familiarity with ETL processes for large-scale data movement.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve data issues in complex migration scenarios.
- Data Integrity: Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality throughout the extraction and migration process.
- Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-Directed: Ability to work alone, in a remote working environment, while remaining engaged with the rest of the project team.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with Teamcenter integrations, including CAD, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud-based migration tools.
- Familiarity with PLM system architecture and the integration of external data sources.
- Experience with data governance practices and ensuring compliance with security standards.
